Suffering is Optional

Most of people’s suffering comes from the friction between how the world is and how it ”should” be.

There is no should.

Everything just is the way it is, as a result of a long chain of events that are not personal, we humans make them personal. When we put down and let go of attachments to how we expect things to be we are free.

We have the opportunity to grow and learn from their experiences, finding strength and resilience in the face of challenges. The world around us may not always align with our expectations, but through acceptance and understanding, we can find peace and gratitude for the complexity of life. Instead of feeling burdened by judgment or disappointment, we can embrace the beauty of each moment as it unfolds. Find the gifts and lessons in every instance.

We hold the power to choose how we react or respond to external circumstances, recognizing that they do not define us but rather offer us opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

By releasing our attachments to specific outcomes or expectations, we can cultivate a sense of freedom and acceptance. When we let go of the need, demand for things to be a certain way, we are able to embrace the present moment with a greater sense of curiosity, peace, openness and acceptance.

This shift in perspective allows us to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and grace, recognizing that we are not defined by our circumstances but rather by our ability to adapt and grow in the face of adversity.

Life isn't happening to you, that's an illusion.

Life is happening no matter how hard we try to control or bend it. It is a beautifully chaotic dance of emotions, experiences, and events that shape our journey. Each moment is a unique opportunity for us to learn, evolve and grow, whether we realize it or want to accept that truth.

The funny little humans that we are, we get bored of our childhood and rush to grow up, only to then wish we were children again. We lose our health to make money and then lose our money to restore our health. We think anxiously about the future so much that we forget the present moment. We get so lost that we live in neither the present nor the future.

Embracing the unpredictability of life can lead to a greater sense of freedom and acceptance, will free you from feeling like you're in a straight jacket and can't escape.

So, instead of feeling like you're in the back of an airplane, row 32 in front of the bathroom, walk up to the cockpit and take back your power. Choose to live your life how you want to feel.
