Advantage: While many coaches focus solely on skill development that's specific to their work, I go deeper by addressing both the professional and personal mental barriers employees/agents face. This holistic focus on mindset, emotional well-being, and practical skills leads to more profound, lasting improvements.
Delivery: I understand the concept of "the way we do one thing is the way we do everything", highlighting the significance of personal and professional growth to maintain and develop well-rounded lives for all team members. Through coaching, individuals can address current obstacles and prevent future challenges in different areas of their lives, ultimately leading to overall satisfaction in and out of the workplace.
Advantage: The insurance industry is fast-paced and unpredictable. How do I know? Decades of experience in the insurance industry, starting at age 17 working at Geico and owning my own agency. My strong understanding of resilience training equips teams to handle constant change, pressure, and client demands with greater ease, drawing from both my personal experience and coaching credentials. If I knew what I know today back when I owned an agency I would have been even more successful (lethal).
Delivery: My tailored approach to building resilience, including practical tools and techniques that help team members stay grounded, adaptable, and motivated even in high-stress environments.
Advantage: Many coaches overlook the profound effects that emotional intelligence can have not only on the overall success of the organization, but also on the quality of client relationships, team dynamics, and the effectiveness of leadership within the company. It is essential for agencies to recognize the importance of emotional intelligence and its ability to enhance various aspects of their business. With my support and a deeper understanding of emotional intelligence and its incorporation into a team, the culture will improve in more meaningful and impactful interactions with their clients, foster stronger team communication, and ultimately lead with greater effectiveness and empathy.
Delivery: I offer coaching that enhances self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation, which are key components of EI. Offering a myriad of ways to teach, train, and educate in improving Emotional Intelligence as a way to boost client satisfaction, reduce internal conflicts, and foster a more cohesive team environment.
Advantage: I have a deep understanding of the specific pain points faced by insurance agencies (e.g., regulatory compliance, client retention, and complex sales processes) this sets me apart from more generalized coaches and consultants.
Delivery: I have the ability to tailor coaching and consulting services specifically for where the agency is in its growth cycle, offering insights and strategies that are immediately applicable and relevant to industry-specific challenges.
Advantage: I offer a structured, outcome-oriented approach that goes beyond mindset work to include strategic planning and goal setting. This combination ensures that your team will experience tangible results in productivity, profitability, and client service.
Delivery: My focus is on achieving measurable results and consistently monitoring progress through accountability check-ins (if they are part of the agreement). Coaching is based on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the current status of each individual or team and developing specific, achievable action steps to move them forward powerfully.
Advantage: Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I take the time to understand the unique culture, needs, and dynamics of each individual in the agency. I customize coaching plans help create sustainable changes that align with the agency’s vision and goals. No two coaching relationship is the same.
Delivery: A major commitment to developing tailored programs and solutions that fit the specific context of each individual on the team and the team as a whole, ensuring a long-lasting impact and a high return on investment.
Advantage:
I recognize that culture is crucial for a successful team. Through years of experience and learning from mistakes, I can distinguish between toxic work environments and healthy ones. By focusing on changing attitudes and improving communication abilities, I contribute to creating a positive, encouraging, and cooperative workplace atmosphere.
Delivery: I have the ability and a deep passion for increasing morale for individuals and teams, increasing engagement, and reducing turnover by creating a work environment where employees feel valued and motivated to perform at their best.
Advantage: Some agents who aim to become leaders, and may struggle with balancing and handling the various roles they must fulfill, or they may lack the necessary skills or confidence to recruit and cultivate an ideal team. In my coaching approach, I prioritize the development of the leaders (agent/managers) by providing them with the necessary resources to effectively manage teams. The team leaders play a crucial role in the overall well-being and success of the agency. Their leadership, guidance, and support are essential in ensuring that the team functions effectively and efficiently. Without strong and capable team leaders, the agency's health and performance would undoubtedly suffer.
Delivery:I have a strong ability to mentor and coach the upcoming leaders of the agency, helping them cultivate strong leadership skills that will drive the agency's success and accomplishments. I make sure they set the standard for how tasks should be completed and at what level of excellence.
Advantage: The insurance industry is constantly evolving, with changes in technology, regulations, and client expectations. I don’t just help agencies react to change; you prepare them to anticipate and embrace it, minimizing disruption.
Delivery: I have a proactive mindset in assisting team members to become more adaptable and flexible towards changes, thereby ensuring that teams develop the adaptability and mindset required to succeed in a constantly evolving environment.

Unlike traditional training programs that focus on teaching specific skills or knowledge, life coaching is a personalized, holistic approach that addresses both personal and professional growth. I work one-on-one and in groups (depends on your budget, and the customizations we agree to) to explore mindset, identify goals, and develop customized strategies for overcoming obstacles. Coaching is more adaptive and ongoing, offering continuous support and accountability, which leads to deeper, more sustainable change.
A typical coaching session is tailored to the needs of the individual or team. It might involve goal-setting, discussing current challenges, exploring solutions, and creating action plans. Sessions can be held weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on your agency’s needs. Many agencies choose a combination of one-on-one coaching for personal development and group sessions for team-building and communication training.
The timeline for results can vary depending on the goals and challenges of your team. Some improvements, like better communication and stress management, can be seen within the first few sessions. More significant changes, such as increased resilience, enhanced performance, and improved retention, often develop over a period of three to six months. Consistency and commitment from both the coach and ALL the participants are key factors in achieving lasting results.
The first step is to fill out an application, which will help both you and me determine if coaching is a good fit for you, now or in the future. The application provides space for you to share what you envision, the challenges you are currently facing, and any customizations that interest you and your team.
Next, you'd schedule a consultation to discuss your agency's specific needs, goals, and challenges. This is times set aside to have a dialog and answer your burning questions. During this call, I will assess your team's dynamics, identify potential areas of focus, and develop a tailored coaching plan. This plan may include individual sessions, group workshops, and ongoing support. The level of involvement I have will depend on your budget, and the cost will be determined based on the energy and effort required.
The objective is to create a customized approach that aligns with your agency's vision and objectives. It's my goal to overdeliver on what's expected.
There is definitely a great deal of potential and opportunity when it comes to what I like to refer to as "intensives" within a tailored plan. These intensives could involve dedicating a specific amount of time, whether it be days or weeks, to immerse yourself in your agency and have face-to-face interactions with the agent, manager, and other staff members. This hands-on approach allows for a deeper level of understanding and collaboration, ultimately leading to more effective and efficient outcomes. By investing in these intensives, you are investing in the growth and success of your agency.
Life coaching is a powerful process that supports individuals in transforming their mindset, beliefs, and actions, allowing them to experience life in a profoundly different way and reach their goals. Here's a comprehensive breakdown of how life coaching combined with thought work, belief work, and goal achievement is so powerful:
1. Thought Work: Shifting Mindsets and Perspectives
-
Understanding the Power of Thoughts: Life coaching emphasizes that your thoughts significantly impact your feelings, actions, and outcomes. Thought work involves examining your habitual thought patterns, identifying limiting or negative beliefs, and understanding how these thoughts shape your reality.
-
Reframing and Challenging Negative Thoughts: As your life coach, I help you become aware of self-limiting thoughts and teach you techniques to reframe or challenge them. This shift in perspective allows you to replace unproductive thinking with empowering, positive, and constructive thoughts.
-
Cultivating a Growth Mindset: I guide clients toward developing a growth mindset, where challenges are seen as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than as obstacles. This change in mindset encourages resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.
2. Belief Work: Transforming Core Beliefs and Values
-
Identifying Limiting Beliefs: Many people are held back by deep-seated beliefs that they may not even be fully aware of, such as "I'm not good enough" or "Success is only for others." As your life coach I work with you closely to uncover these (or other) limiting beliefs that block progress.
-
Replacing Limiting Beliefs with Empowering Ones: Once we identify your limiting beliefs, I help you shift these limiting beliefs to empowering ones. For example, "I’m not good enough" can be transformed into "I am capable of achieving my goals." This shift can lead to profound changes in behavior, motivation, and self-confidence. Now, this isn't chanting or affirmations; these may work for a day or two. I support you in lasting change by rewiring your old programming or thoughts to new ones and training your brain to work for you rather than against you. So, it's much deeper than just reframing; that's why it takes time, commitment, and weekly sessions to check in and see what's working, what's not working, and make adjustments.
-
Aligning Beliefs with Goals: I also help my clients ensure that their core values and beliefs align with their desired goals. If there's a misalignment (e.g., someone wants to achieve financial success but believes that money is inherently "bad"), as your coach, I will support you in reconciling these differences, creating harmony between beliefs and aspirations.
3. Goal Setting and Achievement: Moving from Vision to Reality
-
Clarifying Goals: As your life coach, I am committed to guiding and empowering you to delve deep into your desires and aspirations, to truly understand what it is that you want to achieve in life. I assist you in painting a vivid and detailed picture of your dreams, helping you to visualize what success means to you and what it looks like in your mind. Together, we work towards turning these visions into reality, taking actionable steps and creating a roadmap towards your goals. My role is to provide support, encouragement, and accountability as you embark on this transformative journey towards self-discovery and personal growth. This often involves moving from vague desires ("I want to be successful") to specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals ("I want to increase my annual income by 20% within the next 12 months").
-
Creating Actionable Plans: Coaching involves breaking down larger goals into manageable steps. I work closely alongside my clients to create strategic plans, outline specific actions, and set timelines to make progress toward their goals realistic and achievable. This is where being a VIP comes into play; having a dedicated time each week to check in ensures you're staying on track, and if not, time is dedicated to making adjustments.
-
Accountability and Motivation:I hold my VIP clients accountable, providing encouragement and support throughout the journey. Regular weekly check-ins ensure that individuals stay on track, adjust their plans as needed, and remain motivated to pursue their goals, even when facing challenges.
4. Experiencing Life Differently: Living with Intention and Purpose
-
Cultivating Self-Awareness: Life Coaching increases your self-awareness, allowing you to recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This awareness is the first step toward making intentional changes and taking control of your life.
-
Living Authentically: I encourage my clients to live authentically, embracing who you truly are rather than conforming to societal expectations or past conditioning. This leads to more genuine, purposeful, fulfilling experiences and relationships.
-
Increasing Confidence and Empowerment: As individuals see their mindset shift and limiting beliefs dissolve, they often experience increased confidence and a greater sense of empowerment. This newfound confidence allows them to take bolder actions and pursue opportunities they may have previously avoided.
-
Developing Emotional Intelligence: Life coaching often involves building emotional intelligence, which includes understanding and managing emotions, developing empathy, learning healthy communication skills, and improving interpersonal skills. These changes enhance relationships and communication, contributing to a richer life experience.
5. Smashing Goals: Turning Ambition into Achievement
-
Overcoming Obstacles and Resistance: I work with my clients to overcome obstacles and internal resistance that may arise during the pursuit of their goals. This involves identifying triggers, creating strategies to manage setbacks, and maintaining a forward-focused mindset.
-
Celebrating Milestones and Successes: I encourage and emphasize celebrating progress, no matter how small. This positive reinforcement boosts morale, keeps motivation high, and reinforces the belief that achieving goals is possible.
-
Maintaining Momentum for Long-Term Success:As your life coach, I support my clients in not only reaching their immediate goals but also in maintaining the habits, mindset, and belief systems that ensure long-term success. This focus on sustainability ensures that the transformation is not just a short-term change but a lasting lifestyle shift.

Coaching is a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation, and it has the potential to bring about profound and lasting change in the lives of those who embrace it.
Coaching is a distinct practice that stands apart from counseling, mentoring, and therapy. While these other modalities delve into the past, addressing old wounds and unpacking previous experiences, coaching takes a different approach. Instead of analyzing what has already occurred, coaching concentrates on the present and the future, aiming to empower individuals who are eager to make significant strides in their lives.
When many people think of a "coach," they may envision someone who resembles a nagging parent or a strict physical education teacher from their past. However, a life coach is not synonymous with these stereotypes. A life coach is a skilled professional who assists individuals in setting and accomplishing personal and professional goals, providing them with the necessary support and guidance. Serving as a collaborative partner, a life coach helps individuals tap into their full potential and lead their lives to the fullest.
One of the key aspects of coaching is its focus on enhancing a person's mental, emotional, and physical capabilities. By working with a coach, individuals can unlock hidden potential and optimize their overall well-being. “I took a risk and found Katherine online. It was late at night and there were some big worries I had that were bothering me.
One thing that impressed me about Katherine right away was that she seemed to really want to coach and it wasn't about the money for her. I could tell instantly that she has a "servant-heart." Katherine is a healer. She is an amazing listener and has the skill to separate the "issue" from the person. Meaning, no matter what I bring up, there is zero judgement and then excellent tools to recreate my thoughts and my life.
I love her!"
