Do you feel stuck, worried, anxious, or other feelings that you wish would just go away?
Ever wonder where do these or any feelings come from?
Feelings are like survival mechanisms. They are our inner protectors. As they see it, they are doing their job to keep us alive as best they can, away from anything threatening or even uncomfortable.
The answer isn't from your past, not fully anyways. Sure it has a role, searching in the past keeps you searching for "Why" and you'll stay stuck for years, decades or your whole life in the same negative thought loop of blame, shame, and misunderstanding, what I like to call "a dog chasing it's tail" and you get no relief from this state of mind.
![Believe in your important thoughts, create mental images, and practice consistently to shift your automatic thoughts. This is my gift to my clients.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/8a7b78_9cc3f46dd5184f2491f0b411b0dbc2b0~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_490,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/8a7b78_9cc3f46dd5184f2491f0b411b0dbc2b0~mv2.jpg)
What if the answer is really simple where your feelings come from?
Seeing it as simple takes the complexity out of it and make it easy to escape as well.
What I point my clients towards is not just knowing the answer but experiencing it, and having proof, their own evidence, data of how this works and it completely shifts how they see their feelings. From that point on they have a whole different relationship to how they feel and how they experience their life.
#1 Dream killer is the thoughts in your head. Fix that and you can achieve ANYTHING!
Your feelings are a directly from what thoughts you're having consciously or non-consciously.
That's it.
Simple right?
Well there's more.
On a super simplistic level you might think, "oh so I just change my thoughts and I will feel different right?" Well to a point and that's not sustainable for your brain and mind will take back over and you're back to feeling stuck, worried, anxious, or other feelings again.
The thoughts you deeply believe, that are important, that you create images in your mind and become wedded is the direction I would point you towards. This does take practice, brain training, consistency, and intention to shift your automatic thoughts. This is my super power and gift I give my clients.
Feelings are like survival mechanisms. They are our inner protectors. As they see it, they are doing their job to keep us alive as best they can, away from anything threatening or even uncomfortable.
Observing your thoughts, they are just thoughts, and knowing the power is in not believing them.
Realizing that you are not your thoughts - that you don't need to listen to them, to act on them, that you can simply observe them - is one of the greatest gifts you have ever receive. Understanding how your mind, thoughts and consciousness work in tandem will open up your mind and perspective to a whole new way of living your life.
You get more of what you focus on, focus on what you want more of in your life.
I get the response with all my new clients that they will write down a quote, a saying or an affirmation and repeat it until they memorize it and believe it, that sounds great and all but from my own experience and working with 100's of clients closely for many years that's not sustainable change.
If you allow your mind to stay stuck in misery, worried, anxious, angry energy every day, it will only attract more of the same negative energy into your life, it will create a habit of thought. It's important to train your mind to work for you, rather than against you.
Turning your focus towards being able to describe and articulate what you want more of if your life, from a positive energy, filled with gratitude, and peace will attract more positive experiences and opportunities into your life.
What you focus on grows, so choose to focus on the good in your life.
Some powerful questions to reflect on if you're seeking more out of life and looking to cultivate a deeper sense of peace of mind:
If nothing were holding you back, what would you love to do or experience in your life?
What recurring thoughts or worries seem to hold you back from feeling peaceful or satisfied? Are you willing to take ownership and direct your thoughts towards a life that you want to live?
What do you think is getting in the way of feeling more peace and joy in your life?
How would you describe your current state of mind on a daily basis? Is this how you want to live?
When was the last time you felt truly peaceful or at ease, and what were the conditions that led to that?
If you could shift one belief or thought that holds you back, what would it be?
With some understanding of how your mind, thoughts and consciousness work, you will realize that you create your own suffering or your own joy. And that you can start or stop doing either at any time you choose. You can accept this very moment as it is.
Dwelling on the past leads to so much regret and resentment.
Thinking about the future leads to so much fear, worry, and anxiety.
When you live in the Now, everything is OK. And Now IS everything.
Take courageous action today to create the future you desire and deserve.
