What does "get out of your own way mean"? And how does a person get out of their own way?

The phrase "Get out of your own way" means that you're stopping yourself from moving forward by letting your thoughts, fears, or insecurities hold you back. It's like you're blocking yourself from reaching your goals.
To get out of your own way, a person may need to be conscious, recognize and challenge their limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, or self-sabotaging behaviors. This could involve practicing self-awareness, cultivating a growth mindset, seeking support from others(like me a coach), and taking proactive steps towards personal growth and development.
Our well-meaning friends and family may not point out our blind spots because they don't want to hurt our feelings. They agree to do it but don't follow through. In a comfortable relationship, most individuals don't want to rock the boat or cause tension. Isn't everyone just hyper-focused on themselves? On the opposite side, they tell you but it doesn't land (you may make meaning out of it, take it personally, feel less than, or think something is wrong with you), harming the relationship either way.
This is where coaching is so valuable. Having a coach, a partner to hash things out with and having the trust and space to openly hear feedback will often aid in the perspective shift needed to make the necessary changes to live your life lighter and freer than conditioned to believe.
Ultimately, breaking free from the barriers we set for ourselves demands a deep dive into self-reflection, a strong dose of courage, and a readiness to embrace the unknown by venturing beyond our comfort zones.
There's no need to go through this journey on your own when you can seek support, guidance, and encouragement from those who have walked similar paths or are willing to walk alongside you?
Love to hear your thoughts, what experience you've had from support or what your thoughts are on how a person get's out of their own way.
