What are you doing to establish the healthiest possible relationship to yourself and your life?
You see when the relationship to yourself is grounded in love, compassion, kindness, empathy, care, patience (insert other powerful positive words), and you love your life so much you are eager to jump out of bed each day and see what you will discover and learn, you've mastered the Rubik's cube to having a life that you deeply enjoy, some might say a "happy life".
When you have a healthy relationship to yourself and life, having relationships with other people, comes easy.
I like to compare a persons life to that of a a train journey, where people come and go at different stops. Some passengers may only stay for a brief moment, while others linger for a longer period of time. There are those individuals who may cause disruptions and need to be removed, as well as those who overstay their welcome. And then there are the mysterious departures, where someone exits the train and leaves you wondering why.
But ultimately, the person who remains on the train the longest is you.
Your relationship with yourself and with life is crucial in determining how smoothly you navigate the journey, we call life.
When you prioritize your own well-being and cultivate a positive outlook on life, you are more likely to attract like-minded individuals who contribute to your happiness and growth. These are the people you want to wine and dine on your train ride. Creating lasting memories and meaningful experiences, cherishing the moments shared before bidding farewell when their journey comes to an end.
If you can't be kind, patient and compassionate towards yourself how can you be that way towards others?
When I see people that are mean, cruel and hateful, I feel so much empathy towards them. For I know they are just as mean or meaner to themselves, and that's no way to live.
Every day, be intentional to enhance the connection you have with yourself and the world around you. Focus on yourself and carve out moments to reflect on all the blessings and things to be deeply grateful for that you have in your life. Envision the person you aspire to become, leading a life filled with significance and direction. Embrace the opportunity to grow and evolve into the best version of yourself.
Remember to show yourself compassion and kindness as you navigate through each day with intention and purpose.
I hope this message finds you well!
